Listening to your music today Jim and thinking about you.  I am sad that you are gone from our sight and from our lives, but I rejoice for you that you are with the Lord.  I know you must be singing for Jesus now and you are with all our loved ones that went before us.  I can only imagine what beautiful sights you are seeing.  Jim, please ask Jesus to watch over Carolyn and give her the strength she needs to carry on with life until he takes her home to you.  I know you are already doing this - I know how much she means to you and how much you love her.  God bless you Jim and I look forward to seeing you again someday.
PS:  Give my love to Mom, Dad, Grandpa, Grandma, Chris, Jeremy.  And Thank You for looking after my little Tami.  I know she is in good hands with you
Love and miss you,
Mary

PSALM 1: “BLESSED is the man that walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standing in the way of sinners, not sitting in the seat of the scornful.  But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.” (If I walk like ordinary men, I would be standing in the way of sinners to receive the Gospel of Jesus. If I set with the scornful, I would be just like the scornful.  But if my delight is in the law of the LORD and I meditate day and night in His words of revelation to direct me, LOVE engulfs me to do his will. So I will LOVE the LORD with all my heart, soul, and mind: This is the first and great commandment, and the second is like unto it.  Thou shall LOVE thy neighbor as thyself.  On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets (Mat. 22:37, 40)” To be continued.

“And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he does shall prosper.” (This is my goal. I will NOT LOVE Vanity (Ps. 4:2), Sinners ways (Prov. 1:10-19), Prays of men (John 12: 42, 43), Money (1 Tim. 6:10), nor the things of the World (1 John 2: 15-17) To be continued.

“The ungodly are not so; but are like the chaff which the wind drives away.  Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, or sinners in the assembly of the righteous.” (Yes, I want to be judge by GOD who is LOVE: I don’t want to be driven away, I want to be righteous and Godly) To be continued.

“For the LORD knows the ways of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.” (Choose Wisely!)

PERSONAL NOTE: When I think about Jim Meyer the friend that I was going to talk out of loving Jesus, 1974; I told him to play the book of Psalm. So we opened the Bible and looked inside; he told me “There is no music?” That was my “trick”.  If he had found “Jesus” and GOD wrote the Bible; and if he has GOD living inside him, then he should have the music inside too!  To my surprise, Jim stared straight into my eyes and said this profound statement: “If GOD wrote it, I will play and sing it.”  So he did, starting with Psalm 1.  With chords and notes he or I have never heard; Verse by verse all the way through psalm 4.  I was on the floor crying out to GOD: “Spare my life and I will serve you forever, from this moment forth.”  Through GOD’S wonderful Grace through LOVE, I am keeping this promise! Now when I read the Bible, I see myself getting a fresh “Revelation” directed to me. It is His Words and Music to my ears. To be continued

Hey Jim--I,ve been missing you & here you go getting sick--I just found out & I hope you're doing better & Had a Good Christmas with your Family.  Cancer just does'nt play fair and I now strongly believe in Alternative treatments like Herbs & Foods that boost your natural Imune system---Plus Sleep--& Happy therapy--There's just too much stress in life these days---Slowing down to smell the Roses is the only answer!   A wise person once told me --Make a List of everything that makes you happy and then do them on a regular basis! It's easy to get side tracked, but life's too short to screw it up!  Marilyn's still right here with me all the time--Watching out for me & the kids--I'm so Lucky to have her with me. And I'm lucky to have you as a friend.  Count your blessings--they are many!

Reading your Sept. 23 entry I have to agree 100%. The sounds of nature is beautiful. Birdsong. Leaves rustling in their trees. Frogs, crickets and katy-dids at night hiding in the dark limbs singing their songs. Silence is beautiful, too. I have always tried to enjoy the minute, the day, as they unwind before us. Life is beautiful if you only look and listen. God made all this for us to enjoy, not to ignore.
You are a true poet at heart, Jim, and a great writer, too.
It was good seeing you Saturday and any time you and Carol feel like stopping by after work for a quick rest or a cup of hot chocolate as the weeks go forward, or for just a word of comfort, don't hesitate. My door is always open to you and Carol.
Always thinking of you; my prayers with you...your sister, Kathryn
